- Consider team or department in naming convention
Recipient Management
- Distribution Lists: Use email distribution lists for team-wide alerts
- Role-Based: Configure different gateways for different roles
- Escalation: Set up multiple gateways for escalation workflows
Email Content
- Ideal for formal notifications and audit trails
- Good for alerts that need to be archived or referenced later
- Suitable for detailed alert information and context
Alert Frequency
- Configure appropriate alert thresholds to avoid email fatigue
- Use different gateways for different severity levels
- Consider consolidating low-priority alerts into digest emails
